Why being found on Google matters

If you’re in business, you NEED to be found on Google. I mean, with 5.6 billion searches a day, it’s clear we turn to Google to find everything! You need to make it easy for people to find you, and to be clear they’ve found the solution to their problem.

Even if you’re getting great leads from social media, word of mouth or paid ads, you need a safe, long term strategy.

Building a solid ranking on the search engine results page (the page where Google delivers a user’s search results) takes time. It’s not an overnight fix, and it can’t quickly help you find leads when other sources dry up, or become too competitive.

If you don’t currently have an SEO strategy or plan to get your business found on Google, you’re missing out on vital leads.

How it works

SEO is kinda like acupuncture. You or I could poke a few needles in our body, and if we’re really lucky, we might see some benefits.

Yeah, probably not. Chances are, we’d do more harm than good. Playing with SEO when you don’t really know what you’re doing poses similar risks.

Randomly placing keywords without an understanding of how search engines assess them can be pointless, or even risky. And without the relevant skills or tools to assess keyword suitability, or a grasp of the technical elements of SEO, your time really isn’t being well spent.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is SEO?

SEO stands for Search engine optimization and is the process of improving your website to make google love you then for your ideal client to find you.

Your ideal client will type in something to google, in hope to then find what they are looking for.

SEO is the process of matching what you have to offer with the keywords they type in.

There are 3 core areas of SEO:

Off page – Enhancing your website search rankings through activities that happen outside of the website. This is mainly driven by backlinks and building quality ones

Technical – SEO activities that are done on your website to improve rankings but are not related to content. Some of these activities include how fast your speed loads, how your website displays on mobile, if your site is secure etc

On page – The process of ensuring content is created and creates a great user experience. This includes optimising images, headings, main body copy, meta description tags, and title tags, creating a content strategy and making use of your keywords of course.

How long does SEO take to work?

SEO is a long term strategy and can take anywhere from a few weeks to many months to see improvements. It depends on a few factors ie the setup of your website, your copy, the level of competition on keywords, the changes to the google algorithm etc.

We suggest starting with a 6 month plan in order for us to continually optimise and improve your website to increase your leads and sales. We work on a non lock in contract basis, so you can cancel anytime, but we do ask for 30 days notice upfront before cancelling.

How will I know if I am seeing results?

With SEO, there is a few factors that come into play, but part of what we do is set goals in Google Analytics to measure the changes in optimisation each month. Step one is driving more traffic to the site, then we need to increase your websites visibility in search results by focusing on your keywords and optimisation of your content.

We then look at how many enquires you are getting each month from the website. The goals we set will tell us what’s working and what’s not. At the start of every month we book a zoom chat to discuss the report with changes so you can see for yourself what keyword improvements have been made, what rankings have changed and work we have done so far etc This gives you time also to ask any questions so your clear on the path forward.
